An Overcomer

John 16:33b "In the world, you shall have tribulations, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world
Now lets have a look at the definition of the word OVERCOME. The word overcome can be defined as One succeeding in dealing with a problem. So when we refer to someone as an over-comer, it simply means that such a person has successfully dealt with a problem or in other words, such a person has triumphed over a particular problem or situation.
        There are problems everywhere, and let me also break your heart with this simple truth, there will be more problems in the future. Lately, when you turn up your television or tune your radio sets, all you'll be hearing are reports of bad news. Its no longer a thing of surprise for people to be found dead in their homes, on the streets, in the schools, hospitals and so on. There is blood shed everyday and everywhere, people dying here and there. The citizens look up to the leaders of the country to salvage the situations on ground. And when the government can not render adequate solutions to their problems, they tend to be disappointed and they start  blaming the government for all the wrong happenings going on around them.
       If you keep counting on the leaders in government to redeem you from the problems  you are going through, am sorry to  announce to you that, you'll always be disappointed. The government can only promise to tackle the problems of the society  but can never guaranty  your total safety and comfort.  Stop blaming the president of your country. Stop accusing blames on your state governors. For crying out loud, they are not responsible for your predicaments.
         It is already written in the bible that trouble must come. The bible never said the president will bring trouble to your country neither did it say your state governors will be responsible for the troubles in your life. Troubles will surely come, no matter how far or fast you run.
Stop running away from your problems. Stop putting blames on people as a result of the problems you are facing, for our Lord Jesus has overcomed every problem for your sake.
          Be of good cheer, be strong and put your trust in the Lord for He has overcome the world. So therefore, You are an over-comer.

Trust in the lord and hold on to His promises, for He is bigger than all your problems.
